Hey Joel. I have an idea for Yakima.

Companies like YETI and Patagonia have shown that the most memorable storytelling isn’t about products. It’s about remarkable people who naturally embody what the company stands for.

As I travel across the American West documenting extraordinary individuals, I believe there’s an opportunity for Yakima to become the home for stories that naturally reflect your values.

When my lease came to an end at the beginning of August, I made an unusual decision. Instead of signing another one, I sold almost everything I owned, and decided to load my life into my Porsche, and spend the next few months living on the road across the American West.

Partly because, as a Brit, I’ve always been captivated by this part of the world. But mostly because I wanted to reconnect with the reason I became a storyteller in the first place.

Along the way, I’ll be meeting remarkable people, discovering extraordinary places, and documenting the stories that deserve to be remembered. Stories I’d be telling whether a brand was involved or not.

The journey simply creates a rare opportunity. Because I’ll already be travelling through the places your customers, ambassadors and community naturally spend their time, much of the traditional cost of storyfinding and production logistics disappears.

Instead of manufacturing stories, we can capture authentic ones already waiting to be told

Ways We Could Work Together

Option 1
Support the journey

I’m making this journey regardless. My hope is to partner with a brand that wants to outfit the adventure, whether that’s a rooftop tent, camping kitchen, outdoor gear, or other equipment that genuinely becomes part of daily life on the road. In return, I’ll naturally create a continual stream of cinematic photography, films and storytelling throughout the journey. Not influencer content, but authentic visual assets created by a professional storyteller already living the adventure. And because the journey happens in a Porsche Macan GTS rather than the traditional overlanding vehicle, it presents a different perspective, showing that meaningful adventure isn’t reserved for lifted trucks and purpose-built rigs. Sometimes all it takes is the decision to go.

Option 2
Co-produce a docu-series

Because I’ll already be travelling through the places your customers, ambassadors and community naturally spend their time, there’s an opportunity to create a series of cinematic short documentaries celebrating the remarkable individuals who embody your company’s values. Storyfinding and production logistics are traditionally the most expensive parts of creating films like these. By already being on the road, much of that overhead disappears. Combined with our One Day Doc™ production process, it creates an opportunity to produce a cinematic documentary series at a fraction of what a project like this would ordinarily cost. The result is a collection of authentic human stories that naturally reflect what your brand stands for.

Client Love

Thank you for seeing truth and helping me honor a story I didn’t yet know how to tell. Through this process, you gave me permission to reach further and realize there is more possible than I had allowed myself to see. When someone shines a light on the parts of you that were hidden, it becomes impossible to ignore. I’m better for knowing you and daring more every day.

We showed the film to a group of journalists, where it was met with complete silence followed by tears. It's a really great piece that makes the Four Seasons proud. Chef Nino’s passion for his craft and his unwavering focus on the guest experience truly shine through.

IMPACT created a short film that captured the essential story of our wellness design firm. And they did it in an incredibly organized and professional way that made the process easy and fun. They listened with empathy for the heart of the story, and they set it to beautiful footage and sound, creating a truly engaging and inspiring result. They are talented, visionary and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend them.
